The low outgassing and flame retardant 3M Low Static Polyimide Tape 5419 is a good choice for sensitive electronic components. This tape employs a proprietary technology that results in very low electrostatic discharge at unwind and removal. Unlike other conventional polyimide tapes, this film tape does not generate voltage during use and potentially avoids the typical drawbacks of conventional "anti-static" or "static-free" tapes. Made with a sturdy polyimide film and a reliable silicone adhesive, this soldering masking tape offers excellent surface protection, reducing the need for frequent replacements.
