The 3M™ PELTOR™ COMTAC™ III ACH Tactical Communication Headset Kit is the third generation of COMTAC™ Tactical Communication Headsets designed to meet the mission needs of today’s warfighter. These headsets come with a variety of features, including gel ear cushions for improved comfort, a choice of boom mic location for both left and right shooters, increased RF immunity for high EMI environments, salt water resistance, and Rx/Tx fail safe.
As a part of their third-gen enhancements, 3M™ PELTOR™ COMTAC™ III ACH Tactical Communication Headsets have an improved ear cup profile that provides a better fit and superior comfort for a variety of tactical helmets used by military and law enforcement professionals; these include the Advanced Combat Helmet (ACH) or MICH Helmet. Additionally, these headsets feature external microphones for "talk-thru" capability so operators can maintain situational awareness while maintaining reliable hearing protection.
