The worktop sits over the isolation platform without touching it and the isolation area plate sits on this platform. The surrounding area of the worktop can thus be used for placing equipment on without disturbing the microscope, maximising your use of available workspace. The active self-levelling air isolators have a natural frequency of 2Hz and effectively isolate out vibrations above 6Hz, below the frequencies at which most building vibrations occur. Active tables require a supply of clean dry compressed air of at least 5Bar (10 Bar max) via a 6mm OD airline. Tables are simple to install, easy to use and maintenance free.
