It prohibits the freezing of samples. The racks can maintain a temperature of 0 C for over an hour for an entire 96-well plate. With the lid removed, the racks can keep sample temperature of less than 5 C for up to three hours. When the temperature ceiling of 6 C has been exceeded, the cooler will display a contrasting color change. This provides you with a visual indication then your samples need to be returned to the freezer. Patented lid design provides secure storage and transport of PCR samples from freezer to benchtop. For your convenience, the lid easily slides out, can rotate 180, and becomes a convenient stand for the cooler to sit on. The detachable polycarbonate lid is ambidextrous to allow left or right-hand orientation. Alphanumeric well identification offers quick location and retrieval of tubes.
